The paper examines some problematic implications of the question whether there is place for an ethics in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger. This question has been repeatedly asked since his fundamental works were published and several authors have claimed they can see underlying associations of a practical nature in his thought, notwithstanding the determined and open rejection that the author himself often expressed with regard to such a possibility.
